I must be crazy

I just signed up for the Camp Pendleton Devil Dog Duathlon. I love races. And quite possibly I am addicted to them, but this is not the same type of race that I am accustomed to. I will have to run (5k), and then ride(30k!), and then run(5k) again. Doesn't sound too hard... but remember that this is part of the "Hard Corps Race Series" at camp pendleton, and then remember that it's called "Devil Dog." Holy smokes I'm scared. Luckily I have my crazy bike-riding brother Matt to do it with me, or I mean, sortof with me (he'll likely be WAY ahead of me).

Anyone else want to? C'mon, it'll be fun! (or at least that's what I keep telling myself!)

What the.....?

WARNING:
THE FOLLOWING POST MAY BE DISTURBING TO CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS, ESPECIALLY THOSE OF THE MALE VARIETY.
but it's mostly just hilarious.

I love etsy.com. It's a website where you can buy or sell all things handmade (in case you haven't heard of it). My sister sells some of her crafts on it (which, by the way, are all super cute!). However, tonight I stumbled across a handmade item that just really makes me say "what the....?"

So here you have it:

What is it, you wonder? It is a cloth, re-usable menstraul pad! I'm all for saving the planet and everything, but there are just somethings that go too far. Cuz seriously, eew.

Cookies

For the past few weeks one of my coworkers has been bringing cookies to work every few days. Don't get me wrong, I think that's nice and everything, but I make WAY better cookies than said coworker. So, I made cookies last night and brought them to work today.

They were fabulous. I'm talking knock your socks off fabulous.

I used my mom's "famous" recipe (well, it's famous in the Felicita ward, at least) with just a few minor tweaks. I love my mom's cookies, but I've been experimenting and have discovered how to perfect her recipe. Resulting in the world's best cookie. No joke.

So maybe I'm slightly exaggerating, but seriously, they are good.

Anyway,

Why did I need to prove that my cookies are better than hers, you might ask? And the answer is that I really don't know.
